Everything is baked at the dairy farm of mother and daughter team, Janet and Rachel, in the glorious Cheshire countryside.
We had the pleasure of meeting them at a local event, and were so impressed with the Triple Chocolate Chunk Brownies we purchased, that they agreed to send us another box of goodies so we could genuinely review their service.
Thankfully, we didn't have to wait long. And the day after Rachel took our address, we received our box via post.
Perfect Packaging
Not only were we impressed with the speed of service, especially as everything is baked fresh to order, but the packaging is also a delight.
The sturdy cardboard box, with an enticing looking sleeve, opens to reveal its tissue wrapped contents. The bakes are well protected in straw style paper. Plus, there's a handy ingredients list with allergen advice, as well as a gift card. A personalised hand written note can be added for the recipient if you wish.

So first impressions were fabulous. Now it was time for the all important taste test.
The taste test
As keen bakers, we can appreciate what a good home bake tastes like. And Bowl & Whisk certainly hit the mark.
The brownies are deliciously gooey with rich chocolate flavours. So much so, that you could eek them out further than the 9 or 18 portions they're conveniently cut into.
We thought the Triple Chocolate Brownie we first tasted would take some beating, but the Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie gives it a good run for its money.
There's no scrimping on the delicious caramel which oozes down the sides of some pieces, so it's easy to see why this is one of their best sellers.
Bowl & Whisk's other products include a Nutella & Hazelnut Chocolate Brownie, various flapjack flavours, plus a rather tasty looking Millionaires Shortbread.

Locally sourced ingredients
I love that Rachel and Janet have sourced local produce to use in their baking. Including eggs from a nearby farm, delivered on the day they are laid. And as everything is baked to order, you'd be hard pushed to find fresher goodies.

Delivery
Bowl & Whisk work toward 2 postage days per week. With all packages sent via Royal Mail 1st Class.
Orders received Monday - Wednesday will be posted on Thursday. Those bakes ordered Thursday - Sunday are posted the following Tuesday.

When placing your order, you'll have the option to include a personal note and select an occasion, including: Birthday, Anniversary, New Home, Congratulations - or my personal favourite, Just Because.
